To qualify for the EquaTutor Program, the student must satisfy the eligibility requirements detailed below.
Eligibility

Student is required to be in either Junior High, Elementary, or High School within Calgary, Alberta. - Documentation proving
low income status.
One of the following documents proving
- Welfare documents
- Tax Receipts
- Canada Revenue Agency: Notice of Assessment
- Assured Income for Severely Handicapped benefits (AISH): Current copy of Health Benefits Card (not expired copy)
- Alberta Works: Income Subsidy/Support: Copy of Health Benefits Card (not expired copy)
- Letter from a Registered Social Worker (If no other documents are available). The letter should outline the length of the relationship and as well as the family income.
- Resettlement Assistance Program form –
copy of the Start-Up & Monthly Allowance - For Independent Youth: Letter from
school principal or administration/letter from Child and Youth Support Program of Alberta Children’s Services - City of Calgary Recreation Fee Assistance Card (not expired copy)
- Property Tax Assistance: Copy of documentation issued
rom the City of Calgary - Low-Income Seniors (65+) Programs: Copy of documentation issued
from the City of Calgary - Low-Income Monthly Transit Pass (Adult & Youth): Copy of documentation from Calgary Transit
- No Cost Spay/Neuter: Copy of documentation from Animal & Bylaw Services/City of Calgary
- Alberta Child Health Benefits (ACHB)/Alberta Adult Health Benefits (AAHB): Copy of documentation from Alberta Health Services/Government of Alberta
- YMCA Financial Assistance Card (not expired copy)
- Child Care Subsidies Card/Documentation (not expired copy)
